The Rocky Mountain Altitude made a splash in 2018 with its new re-designed frame sending the bike to new, well, altitudes. It was a bit of a head scratcher at first considering its big brother the Slayer doesn't have THAT much more travel. But, make no mistake, the Altitude has its own attitude and walks the line of peppy trail bike mixed with a downhill slayer.
The Altitude was born with 150mm rear travel and 160mm up front. This combo has provided riders with enough efficiency on longer pedals, and rockys progressive geometry plays well on the DH giving you strong support throughout its travel. Altitude is offered in a variety of different price ranges, and is available in both carbon and aluminum.
Ride 9 Geometry keeps this bike adjustable in all directions so you can dial it in for any style. While this may seem a moot point at first, Ride 9 drastically changes the bikes personality making it a handy tool for those that might have big variances in their riding styles.
While it might not have the biggest travel numbers on paper, don't sleep on this bike. It will provide every bit of suspension you need on those enduro laps and give you the option to fine tune its character into exactly what you have been searching for.
